White Witch, Black Curse - Kim Harrison

I bought this copyright 2009 hardback, the 7th in the Rachel Morgan/The Hollows series, from Amazon.
Rachel has a terrible reputation as a black witch, since she used powers considered evil. She is still devastated from Kisten's murder and is attempting to solve it. She gets mixed up with a case involving a banshee and there is a tough pixie issue throughout. Lots going on in this installment of the series.
I liked it but, have to admit that the series isn't as easy to read as it used to be, definitely takes more brain power and I also admit to getting confused much more frequently than I used to in earlier books.
