The Harlequin - Laurell K. Hamilton
July 12th 2010 10:54
I bought the 15th in the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series from Amazon.
Anita actually has Malcolm, head of the Church of the Eternal Life, asking for help from her and Jean Claude because of the Harlequin. According to the rules, the Harlequin must make contact through delivery of a mask—white to indicate they are watching, red for pain, black for death. Anita receives a white mask, but the members of the Harlequin aren't playing by the rules.
I loved it - This was one of the books I needed to go back and read again after the first pass, as I found some of the imagery hard to picture but, it didn't make the book any less enjoyable. I can easily get lost in Anita's world.
